The Premier League has unveiled the names of the eight footballers nominated for the Player of the Season award in the 2021/22 season, know the odds for the 2022 season

Unlike the FWA award, which is determined entirely by journalists, the Premier League’s official trophy, which is sponsored by EA Sports, will be decided in part by fan votes. Fans’ choices will be merged with votes from the 20 Premier League captains and a panel of soccer experts once voting closes on Monday, May 16.

After another outstanding season, the 2017/18 EA SPORTS Player of the Season is once again in contention. The Golden Boot leader has 22 goals and is only the sixth player in Premier League history to score 20 or more goals in four different seasons.

  1. Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) P31 W22 D7 L2 G2 A12 CS17

In 2021/22, the Liverpool right-back dominated the right flank for the second-best defence in the Premier League. He has scored two goals and set up 12 others, the second-most of any player.

The winger is only the second West Ham United player to score 10 goals and provide 10 assists in a Premier League season, following in the footsteps of Paolo Di Canio. Only two other players have done so this season. ​

Manchester City’s title charge has been aided by the dynamic full-back. He’s played the most minutes of any of their outfielders. He has the most passes completed in the division and has scored or assisted on eight goals. ​

The winner of the 2019/20 season will attempt to become only the fourth player to win multiple EA SPORTS Player of the Season awards. He has scored 15 goals and seven assists. Now he has a chance to follow in the footsteps of Nemanja Vidic, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Thierry Henry. ​

Saka has led the charge for an Arsenal squad targeting a top-four finish for the first time since 2015/16. At the age of 20, he has 11 goals and six assists. He has shown remarkable grit in bouncing back from a penalty shootout loss in the UEFA European Championship final last summer. ​

  1. Son Heung-min (Tottenham Hotspurs) P33 W19 D5 L9 G21 A7

Son is having his best scoring season in the Premier League with 21 goals. In the hunt for the Golden Boot, he is only one goal behind Salah. Moreover, none of his goals has come from the penalty spot. ​

The Southampton captain has wowed the crowd with some outstanding midfield displays. Four of his nine goals have come from straight free kicks, which he is known for.
