Well, many trial observers and fans were anxious about whether Heard would face additional legal charges and maybe prison. To be clear, this is extremely doubtful since the action was built on defamation allegations from both parties, making it a civil offense.

Meanwhile, the actress is still facing accusations in Melbourne, where she is convicted of perjury for illegally bringing two puppies into the nation in 2015. During her evidence before an Australian court, the actress reportedly deceived about bringing Depp’s two Yorkshire terriers.

After the trial, the court found that all three of Johnny’s defamation claims against Amber Heard in his lawsuit were true. They awarded him monetary damages of $10 million and exemplary damages of $5 million. In the meantime, the jury decided on Amber’s second count of claims, awarding her $2 million in actual damages. Both sides basically won their respective court cases against each other, but Johnny’s success was far more strategic.

Is Amber Heard going to jail?

As of now, it is still not clear whether Amber Heard will be going to jail or not with her Australian case getting reopened. Imported pets must be confined for 10 days under Australian law. Amber Heard, on the other hand, did not claim the dogs during the visa process at the time. Kevin Murphy who was his assistant to Johnny backed up these accusations.

Murphy, on the other hand, recently admitted that he was deceived during his evidence at the time. This raises serious doubts about Amber Heard’s sincerity during her 2015 trial in Australia. If Heard is convicted guilty of perjury in the Australian High Court, she may face up to 14 years in jail.
