2023 SAFF U-19 Championship India vs Pakistan final schedule, date, venue, & semi-final results
India and Pakistan had previously met only once in a SAFF final back in the 2011 SAFF U16 Championship, where Pakistan emerged victorious with a 2-1 score at the same Dashrath Stadium, claiming their solitary SAFF title. In contrast, India aims to retain their championship title, secured in the previous year’s U20 format tournament held in Bhubaneswar. Notably, this marks Pakistan’s inaugural participation in the tournament.
India secured their spot in the final by defeating Bangladesh 3-0 and Bhutan 2-1 to lead Group B, followed by their dramatic semi-final win over the host nation in front of a passionate crowd. Similarly, Pakistan topped their group with a 1-0 victory over Nepal and a 1-1 draw against Maldives.
