HCA TV Awards 2022 Winners List, Nominations, Best Actor, Actress, Supporting Roles Hollywood Critics Association

The Hollywood Critics Association winner list is out. Below is all you need to know about the HCA TV Awards 2022, the winners and nominations

The Hollywood Critics Association (HCA) has revealed the winner’s list of the 2nd annual HCA TV Awards. Shows like The White Lotus, Abbott Elementary, Better Call Saul, Barry and This Is Us bagged many trophies at the award ceremony.

The HCA TV Awards announced the winners of its amazing two-night event which took place at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. The ceremony for the honorees took place on Saturday, 13th of August, 2022.

The award ceremony was hosted by Dulce Sloan from Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. Tig Notaro will be considered as a host during the streaming award-winning ceremony that is set to take place on Sunday 14th August 2022.

Winners

HBO’s The White Lotus led the list of winners from the front. The comedy-drama series got a total of 5 awards including the Best Limited Series. Mike White achieved two awards for Best Writing and Best Direction. The series picked up two more awards for Jennifer Coolidge for being the best-supporting actress and Murray Bartlett for best-supporting actor.

Next in line were AMC’s Better Call Saul and ABC’s Abbott Elementary with 4 trophies each. Better Call Saul won a total of four awards in categories such as best cable drama, best actor for Bob Odenkirk, best-supporting actor for Giancarlo Esposito, and best-supporting actress for Rhea Seehorn.

ABC’s Abbott Elementary won four trophies and it prevailed for best broadcast comedy. Quinta Brunson won for best writing skills and best actress and Janelle James for the supporting actress.

This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman was presented with the award for best broadcast drama. Not only this, but he also took home the award for writing for his NBC show’s final season. While getting his award for best broadcast drama, Dan stated, “Thank you to the Hollywood critics for not putting us in a category with Quinta Brunson.”

HBO’s show Barry won three trophies including best comedy actor for Bill Hader and supporting actor for Henry Winkler. FX’s What We Do in the Shadows bagged the award for best cable comedy series.
