Rhinedottir and Durin are two unique characters in Genshin Impact who have a link to Albedo
In the present version of the game, they are not playable characters or NPCs that players can interact with. Instead, they’re historical figures who largely contribute to the lore of Genshin Impact Rhinedottir is the more important of the two characters. She is the one who tainted Durin, and her storey is intertwined with his.
Rhinedottir, on the other hand, is more closely identified with Albedo because she is his “mother.”
Have We Spotted Rhinedottir In Genshin Impact?
In Genshin Impact, Rhinedottir is nowhere to be found. Players get a peek of Durin through a cutscene featuring Dvalin and Barbatos, in comparison. Durin is the black dragon who appears at 1:27 in the YouTube video above. This dragon was wreaking havoc in Mondstadt, but Dvalin was on the case.
His greatest contribution to the lore of Genshin Impact is poisoning Dvalin, which led to Dvalin being influenced by the Abyss Order. Dvalin must be cleansed of Durin’s venom in the Archon Quests in Mondstadt.
Because Rhinedottir (also known as Gold) corrupted Durin, he wreaked so much havoc.
More information about Durin in Genshin Impact
Despite the fact that Durin was killed before the events of Genshin Impact’s primary storey, he still plays a role in the storey. Durin is claimed to be the source of the Dragonspine Spear and Festering Desire. Durin’s character gains some backstory from the prior weapon.
Essentially, he desired to befriend Dvalin. He awakens from his dream, though, with Dvalin’s claws in his throat. Before dying, he speaks to Dvalin and Barbatos about how he wishes things had turned out differently.
Durin’s fantasies are also mentioned in Festering Desire, implying that he wasn’t always the evil who would eventually confront Dvalin. During the event The Chalk Prince and the Dragon, the Traveler purifies the sword from Durin’s corruption.
Who Is Rhinedottir In Genshin Impact?
In Genshin Impact legend, this character is known by several names:
- Gold
- The Great Sinner
- Rhinedottir
She learned the Khemia alchemy kind, which was taught at Khaenri’ah. Rhinedottir lived at least 500 years ago and is linked to the fall of the Eclipse Dynasty. If the excerpt from Breeze Amidst the Forest is genuine, she was greedy and ambitious.
Chunk of Aerosiderite also mentions how she summoned swarms of monsters, one of which being Durin. It’s probable that the “Mother” Durin is referring to is Rhinedottir, as Albedo refers to her.
In Shadows Amidst Snowstorms, Albedo will affirm that Rhinedottir and Gold are the same person while also disclosing that he is a synthetic human
