In the first match, Mohun Bagan Super Giant will go up against Bangladesh Army Football Team at the Yuvabharati Krirangan in Kolkata.
Durand Cup 2023 opening ceremony details
Ahead of the first match, the opening ceremony of the Durand Cup 2023 will begin from 5 pm on Thursday. The programme will go on for half an hour starting with a high on skill performance and entertainment by various Indian Army units. Some of the highlights of the programme include displays of indigenous sports like Kerala’s Kalaripayattu by the Madras regiment and Punjab’s Gatka by the Sikh and Punjab regiments.
Opening match date, time and venue
Mohun Bagan Super Giant will face off against Bangladesh Army FT in the opening match of the Durand Cup 2023. The match will take place on Thursday, August 3, starting at 5:45 pm IST. The Yuvabharati Krirangan in Kolkata, will serve as the venue for the match.

The opening ceremony will feature several prominent guests including:
- The Hon. Chief Minister of West Bengal, Smt. Mamata Banerjee (Chief Guest)

Durand Cup opening match tickets
Much to the delight of fans, they can get the tickets to the opening match for free. The free tickets are currently available at the Mohun Bagan club tent since Monday, July 31st, 2023. Fans can get them between 11 am to 6 pm.
