RCB’s Virat Kohli and LSG’s Naveen-ul-Haq got into a verbal argument during the game between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants. The incident occurred after Naveen stared down Kohli while batting during the second innings.

Naveen-ul-Haq is a well-known Afghan cricketer. He has been in the news because he was recently engaged in a verbal argument with Virat Kohli during the RCB vs. LSG match.

His full name is Naveen-ul-Haq Murid. He was born on September 23, 1999, in Kabul, Afghanistan. His height is 1.86 meters, or 6 feet 1 inches. He is currently 23 years old and he is unmarried and single.

His career

In September 2016, Naveen-ul-Haq played in his first one-day international (ODI) match against Bangladesh. Additionally, he served as the team captain for Afghanistan in the 2016 Under-19 Asia Cup and was a member of the Afghan team for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

In the 2017 Desert T20 Challenge match against Namibia in January 2017, he made his Twenty20 (T20) debut for Afghanistan. In September 2019, he made his T20 international debut for Afghanistan against Bangladesh.

Naveen-ul-Haq was also named captain of the team representing Afghanistan at the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He was selected for the Afghanistan team to compete in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2021.

In February 2021, he signed with the Leicestershire Foxes for the 2021 T20 Blast tournament in England. He was subsequently signed by the Colombo Stars for the third edition of the Lanka Premier League in July 2022. Later, the Lucknow Super Giants brought him to the 2023 IPL auction in December 2022.

LSG brought Naveen Ul Haq on board, spending INR 50 Lakh and the Afghanistan bowler is just 23-years-old but has a bagful of T20 experience, having played 132 T20s and scalping 160 wickets.
