The 16th stop of the 2022 BWF World Tour is the Taipei Open, which has been a part of the Taipei Open championships since 1980. With BWF clearance, this competition is being organized by the Chinese Taipei Badminton Association.

The Taipei Heping Basketball Gymnasium will play host to the $500k Yonex Taipei Open, a badminton championship, from July 19 to July 24, 2022. There are 26 Indian shuttlers competing in the tournament, therefore Indian supporters will undoubtedly expect numerous medals including one from in-form women’s singles player Malvika Bansod.

2022 Taipei Open Badminton Women’s Singles First Round Draw, Fixtures, Players List
Unfortunately, India’s top women’s singles shuttler PV Sindhu, who just won the Singapore Open and Saina Nehwal will not compete in the 2022 Taipei Open. Despite these absences, Indian fans will be counting on Malvika Bansod to grab a podium finish in 2022 Yonex Taipei Open and bring an end to her title draught.
In the opening round of her campaign, Malvika Bansod of India will play a qualifier winner in the first round. In the meantime, Samiya Imad Farooqui will face N Nidaira of Japan, who is not seeded. On the otherhand, Sri Krishna Priya Kudaravalli and Tanya Hemanth will be also hoping for producing a strong performance and go as far as possible in the tournament.

Points Award System
Each round of the BWF World Tour Super 300 competition received points according to the BWF point distribution system. Women’s Singles champions are awarded 7,000 BWF points, while final losers are given 5,950 points. Competitors wishing to advance in the BWF World Rankings will definitely be motivated by the massive number of points up for grabs.

Prize Money Pool Distribution
When the awards are given out in compliance with BWF rules, the total prize money for the 2022 Taipei Open will be US$500,000. The winner of the women’s singles competition will receive $37,500 in prize money from this prize fund.
