The 2022 Taipei Open, which has been a part of the Taipei Open championships since 1980, is the sixteenth event on the 2022 BWF World Tour. The Chinese Taipei Badminton Association is in charge of organising this competition with BWF approval.

From July 19 to July 24, 2022, the Taipei Heping Basketball Gymnasium will host the Yonex Taipei Open, a badminton competition with a purse of $500,000. In the tournament, a total of 26 Indian shuttlers are participating and hence, Indian fans will be surely expecting multiple medals.

2022 Taipei Open Badminton Men’s Singles First Round Draw, Fixtures, Players List
The forthcoming Yonex Taipei Open 2022, which begins on July 19, will feature around 26 Indian badminton players. Indian badminton fans will be expecting podium finish in the Men’s Singles division from Parupalli Kashyap and Chirag Sen, who have already proven themselves in important competitions.
In the opening round of his campaign, Parupalli Kashyap of India will play a qualifier winner in the first round. In the meantime, Chirag Sen will face Lin C-y of Chinese Taipei, who is not seeded. Subhankar Dey and Kiran George will be also hoping for producing a strong performance and go as far as possible in the tournament.

Points Award System
The BWF point distribution system was used to allocate points for each round of the BWF World Tour Super 300 competition. Winners of the Men’s Singles competition receive 7,000 BWF points, while final losers receive 5,950 points. The enormous number of points up for grabs will undoubtedly inspire competitors hoping to move up the BWF World Rankings.

Prize Money Pool Distribution
The total prize money for 2022 Taipei Open is US$500,000 when the awards are given out in accordance with BWF regulations. From this prize pool, the men’s singles event champion will bag a prize money of $37,500
