The Singapore Open 2022, also known as the Singapore Badminton Open 2022, is a badminton competition with a $370,000 prize pool that takes place in Singapore from July 12 through July 17 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. The Singapore Indoor Stadium is the site of this international competition.

2022 Singapore Open Badminton Women’s Singles First Round Results, Fixtures, And Players List
In the women’s competition, PV Sindhu advanced to the second round after thrashing Lianne Tan of Belgium, the 36th-ranked player in the world, 21-15, 21-11, in just 29 minutes. The second round opponent for the two-time Olympic medalist, Thuy Linh Nguyen of Vietnam, who is seeded third at the Singapore Open.
Chinese Taipei’s Tai Tzu-ying, a silver medalist at Tokyo 2020, defeated Pai Yu Po by scores of 21-17, 21-16. Meanwhile, Saina Nehwal, who won bronze in the London Olympics, also triumphed 21-18, 21-14 over fellow countrywoman Malvika Bansod to advance to the second round of Singapore Open.

Points Award System
The BWF World Tour Super 500 competition used the BWF scoring system to determine how many points should be awarded for each round. Men’s Singles champions earn 9,200 BWF points, while losers take home 7,800. Competitors seeking to advance in the BWF World Rankings will definitely be motivated by the enormous number of points up for grabs.
