The 14th stop of the 2022 BWF World Tour is the Singapore Open, which has been a part of the Singapore Open championships since 1987. With BWF approval, the Singapore Badminton Association is in charge of planning this competition.

The Singapore Open 2022, often referred to as the Singapore Badminton Open 2022, is a badminton tournament that takes place in Singapore from July 12 through July 17 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium and offers a $370,000 prize fund. This global competition is taking place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

2022 Singapore Open Badminton Women’s Singles First Round Draw, Fixtures, Players List
Indian ace PV Sindhu is entering the Singapore Open as the third seed. In the opening round, the World No. 7 will compete against Lianne Tan of Germany. Seventh seed Busanan Ongbamrungphan is the only other seeded player in Sindhu’s quarter. Saina Nehwal, who has had a difficult season thus far, is attempting a comeback. She launches her campaign against Malvika Bansod, a fellow Indian. Fourth seed Ratchanok Intanon and fifth seed He Bingjiao are in the same quarter.

Points Award System
The BWF scoring system was used to allocate points for each round of the BWF World Tour Super 500 competition. Winners of the Women’s Singles competition receive 9,200 BWF points, while losers receive 7,800. The enormous number of points up for grabs will undoubtedly inspire competitors hoping to move up the BWF World Rankings.
