In the previous episode, AKyouka and Atsushi discover that Mushitarou has been confined there following his arrest. Then, they break into a bank’s vault. Ango and military cops show up at the scene to capture the three before they get a chance to run away. Mushitarou has habituated to life in prison after his detention. He thinks back about Yokomizo and their extensive discussions frequently. The Agency’s surviving members are in serious need of some confidence. Mushitarou is informed that Kyouka and Atsushi have broken into the bank vault where he is being held and are there to release him. They also explain to him why Mushitarou would take such an extreme move, but they are startled to discover that he does not want to be free.
Kyouka is able to persuade them, nevertheless, after informing him of the book. However, while they are running away, they notice Ango and his armed men reaching the bank. Mushitarou confesses his involvement with The Seventh Agency, a coalition criminal enterprise. Mushitarou ultimately finds the strength to act. He implements a scheme to confuse Ango and his troops. Later, his scheme succeeds, and Mushitarou, Kyouka, and Atsushi are able to get away.
