Angela Lansbury was a well-known British-American actress. She has been in the news because she died recently.
Her full name was Dame Angela Brigid Lansbury. She was born on October 16, 1925, in the St. Pancras neighborhood of London. Her mother’s name was Moyna Macgill, who was a Belfast-born actress and her father’s name was Edgar Lansbury who was a wealthy English timber trader and politician.
She also has one older half-sister whose name is Isolde. She also has twin brothers and their names are Bruce and Edgar.
After a brief stint studying music at the Ritman School of Dancing, she enrolled at the Webber Douglas School of Singing and Dramatic Art in Kensington, West London, in 1940 to further her acting studies.
