All LGBTQ Characters In The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) List

Recently, Marvel Cinematic Universe have featured LGBTQ+ Superheroes and characters in their series, know about every LGBTQ character and other details here

Fans are cheering at every LGBTQ+ superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It shows how the MCU is increasingly supporting diversity and including more gay characters in its television programs. Each MCU character who has publicly acknowledged being gay or lesbian, either in an MCU storyline or by the actor who plays them, is listed here.

All LGBTQ Characters In The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Full List

Disney and the Marvel Cinematic Universe have fallen behind other famous Movie productions when it comes to the queer portrayal. The first openly homosexual Marvel character didn’t appear on the big screen until the famous Eternals.

However with Phase 4 well underway, it appears that the MCU is gradually trying to catch up.  It is coming with a more broad choice of characters that features quite a few queer figures.  Such as America Chavez in Doctor Strange and Loki and Sylvie from the popular Disney+ program.

Here are all of the LGBTQ+ superheroes in the MCU as of right now. The list is still rather short, considering how many films and television programs are now included in the media franchise.

You can support these heroes and the entire LGBTQ+ community by flying the LGBTQ flag proudly.

LOKI

Loki is the first character on the list and he appears in popular films like Loki, Thor, The Avengers, and Infinity War.  One of the MCU’s top troublemakers, Loki varies between being a friend and an opponent while always thinking of himself first.

Additionally, he is fictionally bisexual (or pansexual), as revealed in his own Disney+ series of the same name. Even though it was only mentioned lightly, it was enough for Loki to earn a spot on this list.

AYO

Fans can see the famous character Ayo in Black Panther, Avengers, and Captain America Civil War. Ayo, King T’Challa’s chief of security, was also seen interacting with a female general. She was there in a sequence that was cut from the 2018 film Black Panther.

Fans are seeing this as proof of Ayo’s sexual identity in the MCU, even if it’s sad that it wasn’t included in the actual film. Most of the fans of Ayo are hoping for more scenes in the upcoming sequel Wakanda Forever.

Sylvie

Since that Sylvie is a different-world version of Loki, it seems to reason that she would identify as queer, much like our beloved God of Mischief.

In the Disney+ series Loki, the 2 characters talk about their exes. Sylvie asks if Loki has ever dated any princes or princesses, to which Loki responds, “A little bit of both. We both had the same suspicions.” Even if it’s not much, proof nevertheless.

Deadpool

There is no doubt that Deadpool is pansexual in Marvel Comics. However,  despite countless jokes and flirting lines, this aspect of the Merc with a Mouth hasn’t been really portrayed in the films. We wouldn’t be shocked if this occurred in a further part of Deadpool. As even Ryan Reynolds has urged for the character’s sexual identity to be portrayed on film.

Korg

The popular character Korg appears in Thor: Love And Thunder, and Avengers. In the comics, everyone’s favorite rock alien, Korg, is gay, however, this has never been proven in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Taika Waititi, who plays him, recently indicated that Korg “doesn’t feel bold enough to find love again,”. So fans might not be able to see some sweet scenes in the coming episodes.
