On August 29, 1993, Liam James Payne was born at Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England’s New Cross Hospital in the Heath Town neighbourhood. Liam was 5ft 10in tall. He was the son of fitter Geoff Payne and newborn nurse Karen Payne.
He had two older sisters, Ruth Payne and Nicola. Payne was born three weeks prematurely and underwent routine testing in the hospital until he was four years old because his physicians had discovered a damaged and malfunctioning kidney.
As a child, he had sixteen injections in his arm every morning and sixteen more every evening to help him deal with the discomfort.
