The Piston fan who got into the argument with Jamal Murray broke the NBA Fan Code of Conduct, according to the Detroit Police Department, and was expelled from the Little Caesars Arena with immediate effect as his fight video went viral

Jamal Murray needed the help of Nikola Jokic and a referee to prevent him from attacking a spectator during Thursday’s game after the Denver Nuggets star lost his cool after being the target of insults. Video of the altercation shows Murray on the floor competing against the Pistons in Little Caesars Arena as several Pistons supporters jeer at him.

Murray kept trying to battle the jeering Pistons supporter, and Jokic, 28, had to step in. “I saw your girl sucking d*ck,” the fan shouted at Murray. The crowd fan was quickly approached by Murray, 26, but a referee blocked his path. When the play was stopped by the whistle, Murray, a 6’4″ man, heard the jabs clearly “Guard spoke a few words of his own before moving towards the man. The fan continued to taunt Murray while Jokic restrained him, saying, “You ain’t going to do shit boy.”

After taunting Jamal Murray, Pistons fans were asked to leave.
The supporter and those with him were then reportedly expelled from the game by security guards who had intervened. Murray was immediately blocked by the referee as he held Murray back. Jokic, who is 6’11” tall dragged Murray back to centre court as he hurried over to help the referee.
Security at the arena observed the interaction between Murray and the spectator, and you can see what appears to be police officials pointing at the spectator in the footage. It is yet unknown if the fan was given any sort of penalty.
The weakest team in the league, the Pistons, fell behind the Western Conference’s top squad by 19 points. The Pistons, who now have the poorest record in the NBA, also lost. Nonetheless, the Nuggets are the league’s fourth-ranked team and the Western Conference’s top team. Jokis is having a season worthy of the MVP, and Murray is averaging 20 points and six assists.
