Lee Michael Dixon, an English right-back who played for Arsenal, Burnley, Bury, Chester City, and Stoke City, is a retired professional footballer. He was born on March 17, 1964. Dixon also received 22 England caps and registered one goal.
He joined Burnley as an apprentice after graduating from high school in 1980, became a professional in 1982, then signed for Chester City (where he had the unfortunate experience of coming last in the entire Football League in 1983โ84), Bury, and eventually Stoke City.
Dixon played right back for 50 games in 1986โ87, scoring three goals, and made an excellent impact at the Victoria Ground. Dixon made 38 appearances in 1987โ88, scoring twice. He was paid ยฃ375,000 to join First Division Arsenal in January 1988. Steve Bould, a teammate from Stoke, later joined him at Highbury.
