Yonex French Open, a major BWF World Tour 750 badminton competition with a $675,000 prize pool, will run from October 25 to October 30 at Stade Pierre de Coubertin in Paris, France. Indian men’s doubles team Satwik & Chirag displayed their mettle by defeating local favourites Christo & Toma in a statement match. They will now face unseeded Malaysian doubles team Wei Chong & Kai Wun in the second round.

2022 French Open Badminton Doubles Category Results Today, Score, Winners, & Upcoming Draw
Indian women’s doubles duo of Treesa Jolly & Gayatri Gopichand crashed out from 2022 French Open following their straight-set loss against sixth-seeded pair of Paewsampran & Supajirakul by score of 23-21, 22-20. With this first-round loss, Treesa & Gayatri have been defeated twice within one week by this Thailand duo, who also eliminated the Indian duo during last week’s Denmark Open.
On Tuesday’s first-round match against local pair of Christo & Toma Popov, seventh-seeded Indian duo of Satwik Rankireddy & Chirag Shetty won comfortably and have advanced to second-round at 2022 French Open. Satwik & Chirag duo won their clash following an intense match that ended 19-21, 21-9, 21-13 in the favor of Indian pair.
Elsewhere in mixed doubles event, India’s sole representative pair of Ishaan & Tanisha bowed out at the hands of unseeded Japanese duo of Yamashita & Shinoya. The Japanese pair won this match with ease in straight sets via score of 21-13, 21-16. Points Award System
The 2022 Denmark Open, a BWF World Tour Super 750 event, will award points in accordance with the BWF point system. This system awards 11,000 BWF points to the champion of any doubles category event and 9,350 BWF points to the runner-up. It’s expected that the mixed doubles team of Ishaan & Tanisha would fall in the BWF World Rankings after suffering another first-round exit.

Prize Money Pool Distribution
